3060ti build with half the expected performance? [help]
Hi, Welcome to BC.
So guessing as you do not Mention your OS which would be useful as well as where you are getting/updating drivers from and the BIOS version. All would have been useful information, as well board can do Win11 with appropriate BIOS.
So if your Updating your Drivers through Windows Update : Stop. They are place holder Drivers only, meaning there to get you running till replaced with your M/B Drivers.
Stop Windows Update Drivers : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10
So your M/B Support Page : https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b450m-a/helpdesk_download/?model2Name=PRIME-B450M-A
You would want to be running BIOS Version 3802 Date : 2022/05/12 or the Beta with a Security Fix.
Your Chipset should be from above or from AMD.
Stop NVIDIA From Updating your Drivers from GeForce Experience and delete entry in Task Manager if there to check for Updates.
Find a Driver that works and stick with it. There is no need to update drivers unless it is for a Security issue of a fix for a game you play.
Get your Drivers from Here so can read about them : https://www.techspot.com/drivers/manufacturer/nvidia_geforce/
As well you do not mention if this card is MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte/other or NVIDIA If it is one of the other branded NVIDIA should be using the drivers from their Support Page as well check for BIOS Firmware Updates for the Card.
If needing to use DDU to remove the Drivers and reinstall drivers from techspot URL.
